Every new food, and how it went.
Starting solids brings a lot of first tries in a short time. Lybadora keeps each food, how much went in and how it went, and gathers them on one Foods screen, with the allergen foods in a panel of their own.
- Pick foods from a list of 126 and mark how much went in, from a taste to all of it
- Mark how each food went, and answer one question per meal about any reaction
- See every food tried so far on one screen, with its number of tries and the last date
- Nine allergen groups, from egg to shellfish, each with the day it was first given and the day it was last given, or the date of a reaction logged against it
- Every caregiver who gives a meal writes into the same list
What the list tells you back.
When a food has been turned down twice, the latest try included, the Foods screen says so and adds what one study found: most foods were accepted after 8 to 15 offerings (Sullivan and Birch, 1994). The allergen panel shows how many days ago each group was last given, and a weekly reminder, off until you switch it on, names the groups last given more than a week ago, leaving out any group with a reaction logged.

Questions come up every day.
- When should my baby start solid foods?
- The World Health Organization recommends starting complementary foods at 6 months, alongside continued breastfeeding. Lybadora does not pick the day. It records the first meal when it comes, and for the next 30 days the home screen counts the days of solids and the foods tried.
- Can I keep track of allergen foods?
- Yes. Egg, peanut, milk, wheat, soy, sesame, tree nuts, fish and shellfish each have a row in the allergen panel, with the day the group was first given and the day it was last given, or the date of a reaction logged against it. A reaction logged at a meal is kept against every allergen group in that meal, and a short guide to introducing allergen foods opens from the same panel.
- Does Lybadora tell me whether a reaction is an allergy?
- No. It keeps the reaction you log and its date, so it is at hand when you talk to your doctor. Lybadora is not a medical device and does not assess symptoms.
- What happens if I pick honey?
- Honey, cow’s milk as a drink, whole nuts, whole grapes and pekmez each show a short note with its source when picked, such as the NHS advice on no honey before the first birthday. The note never stops the meal being saved.
- Can other caregivers see the foods?
- Yes. A caregiver with permission to see feeding also sees the Foods screen. Once two people have given meals, each food shows who gave it.
